Culture
Discover Your Passion
At Laerskool Vaalwater, we believe that culture plays a crucial role in the holistic development of our learners. We offer opportunities where children can discover their creativity, build self-confidence, and express their unique talents both on and off the stage.
We look forward to expanding our cultural offerings even further in the future and developing every child's unique voice!
Public Speaking
Every year, a public speaking competition is held with great excitement at our school. Here, learners from the Foundation Phase as well as the Intermediate and Senior Phases get the golden opportunity to develop their skills as confident speakers.
Public speaking gives children the vital opportunity to learn how to speak with absolute confidence in front of an audience and how to express their own unique opinions logically and persuasively.
Competitions & Participation
Multilingual Public Speaking Evenings
At Laerskool Vaalwater, we celebrate our community's rich cultural diversity! We proudly host public speaking evenings in Afrikaans, Sepedi, and English. This ensures that every learner gets the opportunity to express themselves in the way that feels most comfortable and fluent.
ATKV & Con Spirito
For learners seeking a greater challenge and wishing to test their talents on the national stage, we offer the opportunity to participate in the prestigious ATKV Public Speaking Competition as well as the Con Spirito national competition.
